Ritualmord – This Is Not Lifelover CD

The project was originally conceived in 2007 as a creative outlet for compositions that did not quite fit the style of the members' primary bands. Despite its ironic, defensive title, the album carries immense historical weight because Ritualmord is fronted by two surviving core members of the legendary, defunct depressive rock/black metal band Lifelover.  The album was written and performed by Kim Carlsson (also known as ( ) from Hypothermia and Lifelover) and 1853 (Johan Gabrielson, core lyricist/vocalist of Lifelover). : The music steps away from traditional black metal, preferring a bleak blend of atmospheric post-rock, neofolk acoustic elements, ambient textures, and mechanical industrial pulses.
