Faetooth – Labyrinthine CD

Labyrinthine is the second full-length studio album by Los Angeles-based sludge/doom metal band Faetooth.  Serving as the follow-up to their critically acclaimed 2022 debut Remnants of the Vessel, the album showcases the further evolution of the band's self-described "fairy doom" aesthetic. The album fuses crushing, low-tuned doom and sludge metal with the ethereal, textured atmospheres of shoegaze (doomgaze) and the raw energy of 90s grunge. The tracks rely heavily on a distinct dual-vocal dynamic, seamlessly transitioning between hauntingly melodic, clean harmonies and visceral, harsh screams.
