Myrkur - Ragnarok Vinyl

Ragnarok was composed as the official soundtrack for a play of the same name at the Royal Danish Theatre. The release surprised many listeners. The structure is simple: every second track is a metal song, and the rest is ambient or folk music. Amalie Bruun mixes theatrical ambient and folk pieces with melodic viking metal, with hints of folk, doom and a touch of black metal. At about twenty-three minutes, it is short, and the folk interludes can feel brief. It is a side project, but also a bridge between the quiet Folkesange and the heavier Spine, which followed in October 2023.
