Marking the band's return after an eight-year studio silence following 2012's Entartet, the album features core members Kraal (vocals, guitar, bass) and Obscurus (vocals, guitar, drums), alongside session/guest guitarist Stefan Hofmann. Musically, the album moves away from generic, straight-forward tropes to offer a complex, 54-minute brand of Progressive/Melodic Black Metal. It balances chaotic, blistering blast beats and harsh tremolo picking with nuanced acoustic passages, avant-garde structures, and expressive, progressive-leaning guitar solos.
