In The Woods... - Heart of the ages CD

The band originally formed under the name Green Carnation. After their primary songwriter and guitarist, Tchort, left to join the black metal legends Emperor, the remaining members regrouped to forge a new path as In the Woods.... They recorded this debut album at Star Studios in Norway between November 1994 and January 1995, capturing a sound deeply inspired by Norse mythology and the cold grandeur of the Norwegian wilderness. 

It is widely celebrated as a foundational masterpiece of pagan/avant-garde black metal, blending raw extreme metal with sweeping atmospheric and progressive elements.
