"Disturbing The Cenotaph" is the third full-length studio album by the death metal supergroup House By The Cemetary. Named after the cult horror movie by Lucio Fulci, the band performs heavy Old-School Death Metal (OSDM) deeply rooted in horror cinema and VHS-era aesthetics. The album is packed with buzzsaw Swedish guitar riffs, groovy breakdowns, and a dark atmosphere.
Lyrically, the tracks pay tribute to horror cinema and true crime. For instance, "New York Ripper" honors Fulci's 1982 film, "Undead Apocalypse" and "Burial Disturbance" draw from Night Of The Living Dead and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, while "Lunatic Butcher" is inspired by serial killer Paul John Knowles.
Issued in a standard jewel case with black tray and a 12-page booklet.
