Firtan - Niedergang Cassette

With Niedergang (2014), the German band Firtan introduced themselves to the black metal world with a momentum that combined the scene’s rawness with intense melancholic lyricism. The title, meaning “decline” or “downfall” in German, perfectly reflects the album’s atmosphere: a constant struggle between light and absolute darkness. Their debut sound is rich and multilayered, infusing classic black metal with post-rock elements and pagan aesthetics. Limited cassette edition released by the Greek label Metal Defiance Productions.
