Poppy - Empty hands CD
On her new album "Empty Hands", singer Poppy doesn't dwell on rules and expectations either. Instead, the 31-year-old from Boston playfully blurs the boundaries between pop and metal. It is already Poppy's ninth album, if you count her ambient soundtracks. What began as a creative pop career has quickly developed into a futuristic genre hybrid that is difficult to categorize. Here, flawless and sugar-sweet pop melodies enter into a symbiosis with heavy nu-metal riffs that is most reminiscent of a more extreme version of Evanescence. With 13 hit songs, for which Poppy once again collaborated with producer and songwriter Jordan Fish. The keyboardist from Bring Me The Horizon already co-wrote and produced the successful predecessor "Negative Spaces". The Brit has also given the new tracks a perfect, modern, rich sound.
