"Dreaming with the Dead" is the debut and only studio album by Ripping Corpse, released in 1991 by Kraze Records. It is widely regarded as a cult masterpiece that brilliantly bridges the gap between thrash metal and technical death metal. Features guitarist Erik Rutan, who later achieved worldwide fame with Morbid Angel and as the founder of Hate Eternal.
The album is celebrated for its blistering speed, chaotic yet highly technical riffing, and the frantic vocal delivery of Scott Ruth. Despite the band splitting up a few years later, this record remains a highly influential pillar of the early 90s East Coast death metal scene.
