Obscurity – Ascheregen CD

Active since 1997, Velbert-based Obscurity are veterans of the German pagan and melodic black/death metal scene, self-describing their signature sound simply as "Battle Metal."

Ascheregen marks a dark, aggressive chapter for the band, combining razor-sharp melodic black metal tremolos, heavy death metal grooves, and epic Viking/pagan atmospheres. Lyrically, the album centers around dark historical themes, Norse mythology, battle, and social critique, sung exclusively in German.
