"Juniper" is a single/EP released by Myrkur, the Danish black metal and folk music project helmed by multi-instrumentalist and composer Amalie Bruun. It was released in December 2018 through Relapse Records as a digital download and a limited-edition 7" vinyl.
The release showcases Myrkur's signature blend of atmospheric black metal, dark folk, and post-black metal. It was recorded and produced by Jaime Gomez Arellano at Orgone Studios in England.
The 7-inch vinyl and digital release features two distinct tracks:
"Juniper" (Side A): An ethereal, slow-building dark rock ballad layered with lush string arrangements featuring cello work by Jo Quail.
"Bonden og Kragen" (Side B): A haunting, acoustic solo interpretation of a traditional Danish folk song dating back to the 17th century.
