Memento Mori is the 15th studio album by the Swedish black metal pioneers Marduk, released on September 1, 2023, via Century Media Records. After a five-year gap following their 2018 release Viktoria, the band returned with an album that shifts away from their frequent WWII themes to focus on death, mortality, and the "Danse Macabre." The album is characterized by Marduk’s signature "relentless" speed but also incorporates more atmospheric and experimental elements. It features a dense, dark production that many critics have praised as some of their strongest work in years.
