Hulder – Verbolgen CD

On Verbolgen, Hulder shifts toward a more atmospheric, melodic, and ritualistic style of black metal compared to her previous works. The music balances raw aggression with a rich, historic grandeur. Hulder provides her signature piercing shrieks and rasps, paired alongside co-conspirator Necreon's deep, cavernous growls. The tracks lean into mid-tempo, sweeping arrangements rather than continuous blast beats, creating an epic and deliberate pace.

Soundscape incorporates traditional instruments including a acoustic guitars, hurdy-gurdy, ambient keys, and a session flute, giving the album a distinct pre-Christian, ancient European aesthetic. Cover art was designed by Morrigan of Aeternus, and the logo was created by Jannicke Wiese Hansen.
