The album delivers the duo's signature blend of crushing sorrow and melancholic soundscapes. Compared to their previous album (Beneath the Vault of Stars), this release steps away from the warmer, post-black metal shoegaze elements. It returns to a much darker, colder, and classic black metal aesthetic. Album features six lengthy compositions that feel deeply cinematic, repetitive, and hypnotic. The overall atmosphere is claustrophobic yet expansive, perfectly capturing the lyrical themes of decay, time slipping away, and cosmic desolation.
